Hard tours either climb more than 1,100 m in a day or run beyond 100 km. The Big Climb Morning (62 km, 1,180 m) packs its ascent into a half day, the Volcano Gravel Day (88 km, 1,600 m) adds rough surfaces, and the Costa Brava Coast Road (118 km, 1,650 m) is the longest single day.
The Pyrenees Three-Day Camp covers 320 km and 7,400 m in total, which averages well over 2,000 m a day. Expect to train beforehand and to be comfortable riding long climbs back to back. These are best for experienced, fit riders.
